This is It for Me

Post by roger on Fri Dec 17, 2010 6:15 am

I live out away in the countryside and there is really no place to fellow-ship or no church to attend near-by. I watch a lot of programs like Joel Olsteen on TV, but there is no way to communicate so it can be a bit dry at times... which leads me to "This Is It". If you all don't mind I'm going to make this my main place to get some fellowship on line. Hope that is ok. It means a lot to me to have you all here! Thanks to whoever or whomever is in control of this site. It is my defacto church and main fellowship spot.

Roger to be honest that is one of the big reasons we started this web site. Many a missionary or sincere Christian is stuck out in the boonies. Today they can get on line, but it's hard to have direct contact with outside Christians. Many of us went for years without regular fellowship so when the door opened for this site... Boom... it was a Blessing and we went for it! Pray it can be a help to you as it has been to all of us! Welcome Home! Mi Casa es Tu Casa!

Welcome Roger! Great to have you with us! Sometimes it might be a bit delayed getting answers back and forth, but folks are very sincere and it is a great gathering spot. As Peter said welcome home! Thankful for you.

Hey Roger... you took the words out of my post! Smile I'm constantly traveling and never have time to stop and attend services at my point of base... so this is kind of the spot I go to to get some fellowship and inspiration.
Folks aren't always on line, but I've met some great people through personal message follow-ups to posts and topics I've read. There is just such a wealth of inspiring faith building material in all the forums. So it's kind of become my defacto church in a manner of speaking. Anyway I look forward to getting know you kn the future!

Dear Roger - your post nearly brought tears to my eyes. So many of us take for granted the availability of churches in our area. We don't stop to think of those who are unable to attend a church. Yes, this forum is very special and it provides a wide range of inspirational material to choose from. You will be blessed by all the amazing information posted here.

God bless you and I look forward to seeing more of your posts in the future.

Roger a very Happy New Years to you and welcome. We also get most of our fellowship from friends on Internet. So Inspiring to know there are many millions of other faithful Christians out there trying to do their best for Jesus.
