Knockin' on Heaven's Door
Folks I just got some bad news from the doctor and would appreciate your prayers. I know many of you don't know me personally, but we have shared a lot of fun communications together and I feel very close to you all! Life is short and I never knew that more than right now! Thank God for a Hope of Heaven... sure makes all the trials and sufferings of this life worthwhile! Love you All!

Dusty as I understand it you are over in Japan. If you need some stateside medical advice or someone to go over your situation you could PM me your test information and details... and I can get someone to look over it here. Often a second opinion is a safe thing to do. You are in our prayers!

Re: Knockin' on Heaven's Door
Hello my name is Mary Jo and my husband Dusty was a member of your group. He used to enjoy reading and typing letters to you and always talked about your internet witnessing. Monday Dusty had an operation to remove a large tumor from his brain, but it didn't go well and he passed into the arms of Jesus. He has been my dearest friend and husband for 45 years and it has left a great void in my life. I know we will be together again soon.
Dusty wrote this poem in the hospital Sunday and asked me to please put in on this page if he didn't make it. I hope I've got this right. Thank you for all the encouragement you were to him and I pray God Will Bless and Keep You All! With Thanks, Mary Jo
SAFELY HOME
I am home in Heaven, dear friends;
Oh, so happy & so bright.
There is perfect joy & beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain & grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh!—But Jesus' Love illumined
Every dark & fearful glade.
And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread,
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve sorely
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond Earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's will,
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth—
You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!

Re: Knockin' on Heaven's Door
Mary Jo ... I think I speak for everyone when I say that Dusty Will Be Greatly Missed! Our Great Loss is Heaven's Gain!
Thank you so much for letting us know and we do offer you every condolence. To be apart from Dusty after such a wonderful life must be a painful thing and I'm sure if the Lord Allows he Looks down on you from above awaiting your arrival. But and I say this because we had a lot of good communications together, ... I think Dusty would want you to be happy for him and to do the most you can with the time you have left. Dusty will forever be your wing man right there encouraging you on to have a wonderful and happy life.
In those still moments in the quite of the evening... you will feel his love and presence reaching out to you across the void that separates us and you will know he is cheering you on! God Bless You Mary Jo! Please know you are in all of our prayers!
